Privacy Policy

Bank of New Zealand and Marketview Limited are dedicated to protecting the privacy of the consumer. This is achieved by having the following security measures in place:

• The BNZ MarketView database contains no personal identifiers. All customer names, addresses, card and account numbers are removed by BNZ and replaced with geographic and demographic codes before being used in BNZ MarketView reports.
• Demographic information is based on Statistics NZ data. Demographic information is available only at meshblock level, which is an area consisting of 60 - 100 households.
• All geographic reports are aggregated to a minimum of five people. No reports are available pertaining to five or less customers in any one category who have made a purchase. This makes it impossible to identify individuals with certainty.
